Students interested in transnational media and communications law are strongly encouraged to conduct independent research under the supervision of a full-time faculty member. Past projects include Russian media law and policy, satellites in the former Soviet Union, regulatory responses to the convergence of digital technologies in the European Union and the United Kingdom, V-chip and censorship and protection of minors on television, and information intervention in Bosnia-Herzegovina, Cambodia, East Timor, Kosovo, and Rwanda.
